NC STATE HOLDS FIRST PRACTICE AT TROPICANA FIELD

Quotes:

Head Coach Dave Doeren

On practice

“We got a chance to go through everything. The guys worked hard and I thought they had really good focus. The guys walked into the dome today like it was back home. They had a great practice. I told the guys I was proud of the energy and the temp. Sometimes when you go to a bowl game you get a little squirrelly but they were awesome.”

On Tropicana Field atmosphere

“I guess a lot of times in the past schools went to high schools. It’s great to be outside but we’ve only been in one indoor facility before so it’s good to be out here and go.”

FILL THE BOWL
PRESENTED BY ACHIEVA CREDIT UNION AND STAYWELL

With great enthusiasm, a few thousand food backpacks were stuffed with enough food in each pack to feed a child over the weekend in less than an hour during the Fill the Bowl event today.  Children from the  Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and Boys & Girls Clubs of The Suncoast joined players from each team in this friendly competition to help feed children in need.

VISIT TO ALL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Honorary Game Chairman Mike Alstott was joined by players from both teams and cheerleaders at All Children’s Hospital today.  Patients, along with their families, were greeted by the bowl game visitors and received autographs and special gifts provided by each school as well as ESPN and Disney.

Quote:

Terrance Plummer, UCF Sr., LB

On Hospital Visit

“It affects me in a positive way in the fact that we are able to give back to the kids that are going through a tough time in their lives right now. We are just trying to help them move on with a positive life.

Life is short and it’s precious, so live it up for what it is and make sure everyday you have a positive energy and attitude.”
