(August 30, 2012)- The 2012 Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl St. Petersburg's "Bowl Talent Tryouts," with a chance to be the game's official television reporter, begins this Friday, Aug. 31. Aspiring TV personalities will have a tremendous opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience as the winner of this year's contest. The Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl St. Petersburg is an ESPN Regional Television (ERT) owned bowl game featuring teams from the BIG EAST and Conference USA. The game will be played Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. This will be the third consecutive year the bowl game is holding this contest in which the winner will also receive a free week's stay at an official bowl hotel in St. Petersburg during Bowl Week. The winner will be working with a professional production team covering all of the bowl week events and game day, posting daily reports on the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl's official YouTube and blog pages. Interested parties can enter online or audition at one of the four tryouts hosted at Beef 'O' Brady's locations in September. Beginning Friday, entries can be made online. The inaugural winner in 2010 was Jenna Laine, who went on to co-host and produce "The Sports Mob," a sports talk-radio show that aired on 1010 CBS Sports in Tampa. Last year's winner was UCF graduate Kevin Keane. "Winning the Bowl Talent Tryouts and having the opportunity to blog, report, and broadcast news and information throughout the Beef O' Brady's Bowl St. Petersburg last year was such a tremendous experience for me," said Keane.
