The tenth edition of the bowl game, which is owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, is scheduled to match up teams from the American Athletic Conference and Conference USA at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m. ET. "Both of our conference tie-ins for this season offer some of the most exciting teams in the country," said Brett Dulaney, executive director, Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl. "The American has had four teams appear in the top 25 rankings this season and Conference USA boasts four teams averaging more than 30 points per game.” The Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl has been host to many exciting games over the previous nine years and last season was no exception. Mississippi State blocked a 37-yard field goal attempt with five seconds left in the game to secure a come-from-behind 17-16 victory over Miami (Ohio). Tropicana Field's setup has enabled the bowl game to offer unique hospitality options with Shipwreck Party Deck seats and The Crow’s Nest. The Shipwreck Party Deck seats include access to the lounge located on the field, for an in-game experience like no other. Both the Shipwreck and Crow’s Nest tickets include complimentary food and beverages all game. Please contact the Bowl Office at 727.290.9865 for more information on these two offerings as well as hospitality packages and group tickets. While the game is the headliner event, the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl activities start a few days prior. This year the teams, their alumni and students will start arriving in St. Petersburg on Sunday, Dec., 17, for the numerous bowl-related festivities leading up to kick-off.
