Tampa, Fla. (November 11, 2024) – The 2024 Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl is thrilled to announce its newest partnership with Reddit CFB (/r/CFB), the home of college football on Reddit, as the 2024 “Official Fan Voice of the Game.” This landmark collaboration celebrates fan engagement, bringing a unique level of interaction to one of the most anticipated games of the college football postseason as a key lead-in to the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff. Owned and operated by ESPN Events, the game will take place at Raymond James Stadium on Friday, December 20, and televised live on ESPN at 3:30 pm ET.

From original reporting and news coverage to AMAs with athletes, coaches, and mascots, /r/CFB captures the full spirit of college football. With this partnership, fans can make an impact in the Tampa Bay area through the Gasparilla Bowl Gives Back initiative and /r/CFB’s charitable arm, OurCFB, which has raised more than $150,000 for various causes since 2013. Money raised through the program will go to support multiple Tampa Bay charities directly. Fans contributing to this initiative will receive special recognition through exclusive /r/CFB flair awards, while donations will earn points toward /r/CFB Patron and /r/CFB Booster Awards. Additionally, the team with the most donors will be rewarded with an alternate flair option, uniting fans to support the game and charitable giving. Fans can join the fundraising effort at ourcfb.com.

“We’re excited to welcome Reddit CFB as the Official Fan Voice of the Gasparilla Bowl,” said Scott Glaser, Executive Director. “This collaboration with such a passionate community gives fans a voice on game day and the opportunity to make a positive impact in our local community through the Gasparilla Bowl Gives Back initiative. The partnership will also provide game coverage on the Reddit platform, allowing fans on /r/CFB to share their thoughts in real-time. Standout comments from the game thread will be featured on stadium videoboards in the fourth quarter. The red zone will also take on the name “/r/CFB Red Zone,” reflecting the unique community flair and passion that has defined Reddit’s college football fans for over 15 years.
