Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl Scheduled for Monday, Dec. 23

Kickoff set for 2:30pm at Raymond James Stadium

Tampa, Fla. (May 23, 2019) – The 12th annual Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl will be played on Monday, Dec. 23, with a 2:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Raymond James Stadium.  The game will air on ESPN and is scheduled to have a matchup with the American Athletic Conference and Conference USA.

This year’s game will be the third with an afternoon kickoff and first since moving the game to Tampa from St. Petersburg.  The last time the game was played in the afternoon was in 2013, which was also the only other time the game date was Dec. 23.

“We look forward to hosting our first afternoon kickoff at Raymond James Stadium,” said Brett Dulaney, Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl executive director. “We are now in the process of locking in our bowl week events and it looks like we’ll be able to schedule our two biggest fan events over the weekend leading up to the Monday afternoon game. The Beach Invasion and Clash of Bands at Treasure Island would take place on Saturday, December 21 and the bands pep rally would occur on Sunday, Dec. 22.”

Tickets for the 2019 Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl will go on sale later this year.  To inquire on group tickets and suite packages, please call the bowl office at 813.367.3719.   Information is also available online at www.gasparillabowl.com.
