Union Home Mortgage Named New Title Sponsor for Gasparilla Bowl
TAMPA, Fla. – ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, has announced Union Home Mortgage as the new title sponsor for the Gasparilla Bowl, an annual college football postseason game played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa (Fla.). Beginning with this year’s game, the bowl will now be known as the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl. The multi-year title sponsorship with Union Home Mortgage was brokered by Denver-based Impression Sports & Entertainment.

This year, the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl begins a new cycle of conference and school partners which now includes the ACC, American Athletic Conference, Big 12, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West, Pac-12 and SEC plus Army and BYU. Since the game’s inception in 2008, it has hosted 232 players who have signed pro football contracts. At the end of the 2019 NFL season, 27 teams had bowl alums on their roster. A few of the most recognizable players include T.Y. Hilton (FIU 2011), Shaquill Griffin (UCF 2014), Devon McCourty (Rutgers 2010), Breshad Perriman (UCF 2012 & 2014) and Willie Snead (Ball State 2012).
